VW Link Pin Set - German - 1946-65 Beetle - Febi

Whether you're refreshing an original front end or installing new drop spindles, a new German made VW link pin set will help make sure your front end tracks straight. Each kit has enough kit pieces to complete both sides and fits 1946-65 VW Bug, 1956-65 VW Karmann Ghia. Included are 4 link pins, 4 link pin bushings, 4 dust caps, 4 o-rings and 32 shims. The stock link pins are referred to as 18mm, or 5/8 bushings but are actually approximately 17.8mm. The bushings that press into the spindle carrier have an OD of roughly 28mm. Sold as a set, one kit has enough parts for left and right sides.

After pressing the link pin bushings into the steel carrier, the bushings may shrink slightly. VW used the VW 224 reamer tool to open the bushings up to the correct size for the link pins. An original or reproduction reamer (or a .710" reamer) must be used if the link pins do not slide into the bushings easily.
